Karaokebar für die Zukunft – Neuanfang für eine Familie auf den Philippinen
Setiram ist eine Freundin, die ich in meiner Zeit in Taiwan kennengelernt habe. Sie ist Philippinin und arbeitet Tag und Nacht in der Altenpflege und als Putzfrau, um ihre Eltern und Geschwister in der Heimat finanziell zu unterstützen. Leider reicht das Geld oft nur für die teuren Medikamente ihres Vaters und selten für ausreichend Essen. Sie selbst hungert oft, um der Familie zu helfen. Kurz nach einem verheerenden Brand, Ende 2024 bei dem die Familie ihr gesamtes Hab und Gut verloren hat, erlag ihre Mutter einer langjährigen Krankheit, was ein schwerer Schlag für die ganze Familie ist.
Diese Familie gehört zu den Ärmsten, ohne Krankenversicherung und ohne große Chancen auf eine bessere Zukunft. Aber sie sind unglaublich starke und liebevolle Menschen, die es verdienen, eine Chance auf ein neues Leben zu bekommen.
Ich habe gemeinsam mit Setiram einen Plan entwickelt: Eine Karaokebar, die der Familie hilft, ihr Leben selbst in die Hand zu nehmen. Wir haben bereits einen Businessplan aufgestellt, die Kosten und Ausgaben für das erste Jahr kalkuliert und einen gut gelegenen Ladenraum zur Miete gefunden.
Doch für den Start benötigen wir eure Hilfe. Mein Ziel ist es, 5.000 Euro zu sammeln, um der Familie den nötigen Schub zu geben, damit sie wieder auf eigenen Beinen stehen kann. Jeder Beitrag, egal wie klein, hilft dabei, diesen Traum wahr werden zu lassen. Lasst uns zusammen dafür sorgen, dass diese wunderbaren Menschen ihre Zukunft selbst gestalten können!

Karaoke bar for the future - a new start for a family in the Philippines
Setiram is a friend I met during my time in Taiwan. She is Filipino and works day and night in elderly care and as a cleaner to financially support her parents and siblings back home. Unfortunately, the money is often only enough for her father's expensive medication and rarely enough for food. She herself often goes hungry to help her family. Shortly after a devastating fire at the end of 2024, in which her family lost all their belongings, her mother succumbed to a long-term illness, which was a huge blow for the whole family.
Setiram’s family is very poor and faces significant economic challenges, without health insurance and with slim chances of breaking the cycle of poverty for a better future. They are incredibly strong and loving people who deserve a chance at a new life.
I have developed a plan together with Setiram: A karaoke bar to empower the family to build a sustainable future. We have already drawn up a business plan, calculated the costs and expenses for the first year, and found a well-located space to rent.
But we need your help to get started. My goal is to raise 5,000 euros to give Setiram’s family the boost they need to start a business and stand on their own two feet.
