Liebe Leute.

Vor einiger Zeit lernte ich ein älteres Ehepaar aus Polen kennen. Beide sind schwerkrank und bekommen eine minikleine Rente. Er hatte einen Schlaganfall und sie leidet an Speiseröhrenkrebs und Leukämie. Sie hatte bis vor einem Jahr noch in der Pflege gearbeitet und in Deutschland Senioren rund um die Uhr gepflegt. Nun haben sie beide eigene Probleme. Sie leben in einem kleinen Häuschen mit zwei Zimmer, Küche und kleinem Bad. Das Geld ist knapp und es bleibt kaum etwas für Holz oder Briketts übrig. Außerdem ist einer der beiden Öfen defekt. Der zweite Ofen sieht aus, als käme er vom Schrottplatz.  Für Brennstoff habe ich ihnen beiden schon geholfen. Aber ich würde ihnen gerne zwei Öfen kaufen, einpaar RM Holz und ein bis zwei Tonnen Briketts. Alleine schaffe ich das jedoch nicht. Wenn vielleicht einige Leute ein wenig Spenden würden, wäre es sicher machbar. Sollte mehr Geld zusammen kommen, als ich für Öfen und Brennmaterial brauche, spende ich den Rest in bar an die beiden. Ich hoffe das wäre in Ordnung.

Dear People

Some time ago I met an elderly couple from Poland. Both are seriously ill and receive a tiny pension. He had a stroke and she has esophageal cancer and leukemia. Until a year ago, she was still working in nursing and cared for senior citizens in Germany around the clock. Now they both have their own problems. They live in a small house with two rooms, a kitchen and a small bathroom. Money is tight and there is hardly anything left for wood or briquettes. In addition, one of the two ovens is defective. The second furnace looks like it came from the junkyard. I've already helped them both for fuel. But I'd like to buy them two stoves, some RM wood and a ton or two of briquettes. However, I can't do it alone. If maybe some people would donate a little, it would certainly be doable. If more money comes together than I need for stoves and fuel, I donate the rest in cash to the two. I hope that would be ok.
